He is known far & wide as the Gene Autry of this era because of his resemblance of voice & looks to his idol. Hank has traveled throughout New England; Florida; Hollywood, California; Nashville, Tenn; Wheeling, W.VA.; & Canada in many auditoriums, outdoor ranches, clubs entertaining his many friends & fans. He is featured in the 1976 New England Country Music Guidebook, Page 28. In 1965 Hank took his show to the World's fair in New York City. In 1974 Hank made a record in Nashville Tenn. "A Salute to Gene Autry" featuring four of Gene Autry's top songs, "Back in the Saddle Again", "Silver Haired Daddy of Mine", "Little Kid Sister", & "Riding down the Canyon". Hank Decato is featured in the " Country & Western Hall of fame Library" in Nashville, Tenn. Hank is known for his generousity in his professional as well as his personal life. He has contributed & helped in many telethons for different charisities with other top stars, as well as appearing at Old Folks homes, orphanages & Children's hospitals. Hank won the national TV show "The Gong Show" in 1977; and 30 years later... Hank tried out in the 2nd season of America's Got Talent. Although the competition was fierce, he's never given up on his dream. He's now doing what he loves playing shows around his successful realty business. If your interested in having him play for your event, just call & make arrangements in advance. Once you get to know him, he's a friend for life. Hank has many reasons to be proud including his feature in the movie "Greased Lightning" with Richard Pryor. Being a member of Ron Smith's Hollywood Look Alikes-Sounds Alikes . And appearing on - ABC, NBC, and CBS singing "Home on the Range" with President Ronald Reagan. Hank has been seen in many parades riding a beautiful Chestnut horse with a white blaze face. He acts as his own manager to keep personal touch with his many booking agent friends. When he's not on the road keeping Gene Autry's memory alive he is busy helping families obtain the American dream of home ownership with his own company WhiteHat Realty. |

RODE THE (ROSE PARADE--2002) IN TRIBUTE TO HIS FRIEND & IDOL -----GENE AUTRY IN A NEW SECTION CALLED "LEGENDS OF THE WEST" -IN HONOR OF OUR COWBOY & COWGIRL HEROS.--- THIS WAS HANKS 3RD RIDE IN THE PARADE AND HE RODE A HORSE JUST LIKE GENE'S HORSE "CHAMPION" INCLUDING THE SIX GUN BIT. HANK HAS SPENT HIS LIFE DOING A TRIBUTE SHOW TO GENE ALL OVER THE U.S. & CANADA. TO KEEP HIS MEMORY AND SONGS ALIVE.
