He is known far & wide as the Gene Autry of this era because of his resemblance of voice & looks to his idol. Hank has traveled throughout New England; Florida; Hollywood, California; Nashville, Tenn; Wheeling, W.VA.; & Canada in many auditoriums, outdoor ranches, clubs entertaining his many friends & fans. He is featured in the 1976 New England Country Music Guidebook, Page 28. In 1965 Hank took his show to the World's fair in New York City. In 1974 Hank made a record in Nashville Tenn. "A Salute to Gene Autry" featuring four of Gene Autry's top songs, "Back in the Saddle Again", "Silver Haired Daddy of Mine", "Little Kid Sister", & "Riding down the Canyon". Hank Decato is featured in the " Country & Western Hall of fame Library" in Nashville, Tenn. Hank is known for his generousity in his professional as well as his personal life. He has contributed & helped in many telethons for different charisities with other top stars, as well as appearing at Old Folks homes, orphanages & Children's hospitals.
